Suspects on the shooting incident in Batuan town charged with frustrated homicide

In a recent report that reached Masbate Police Provincial Office that Batuan Municipal Police Station has filed a case for frustrated homicide against the three identified suspects on the shooting incident that transpired at about 8:00 o’clock in the evening of December 20, 2011 at Sitio Rawis, Brgy Poblacion, Batuan, Masbate.

The suspects charged with frustrated homicide before the Provincial Prosecution Office, Masbate City docketed under NPS No. V-12-INV-12A-02115 dated January 2, 2012 were Ely Villareal @ “Enke” 49 years old, single, jobless, and a certain “alias” Putino Bugnot and Rommel Vidal.

Reports said that while the following victims identified as Junie Gois y Masdo, 33 years old, married, businessman and a resident of Brgy Poblacion, Batuan, Masbate and Ely Tuzon y Calolot @ “Apong”, 44 years old, married, farmer and Rea Batotok, 2 years old, both residents of same place, were passing by the house of one of the suspects when Junie Gois was invited but as he came to approach he was shot with the use of homemade shotgun hitting him on his body  and also wounding both Ely Tuzon and the 2 years old girl by the bullet splinter on the foot and stomach respectively. Victims were brought to San Fernando District Hospital for medical treatment. Motive was due to personal grudge.

Responding elements of Batuan Municipal Police Station led by SPO1 Buen B Cerillo were able to recover from the crime scene one piece shotgun pellet and one deformed slug for unknown caliber and conducted follow-up operation for the possible arrest of the suspects.
